User Information
Can I operate this bed by myself?
Each individual's situation is different. If you can operate a lift chair, you can operate the EZ Out Bed. This bed may not be suitable for people with cognitive decline. Users must be able to use the bed alone or with minimal assistance to help prevent falls.
Can I elevate my feet?
The EZ Out Bed is not designed to raise your feet above the height of your hips while on the bed.
What do I do with blankets and pillow when standing?
Most EZ Out Bed users choose to drape their blankets and top sheet on one side over the armrest. This will keep the blankets from pooling around your feet. We recommend elastic sheet straps to clip your pillow to your bed and you can use them for the fitted sheet as well to prevent shifting when the bed is in motion.
How do the armrests work?
You or a helper can pull the spring loaded pin from the side of the base of the armrests to easily swing the armrests out of the way or back into place.
Is it easy to assemble?
Yes! Assembly should take only 10-15 minutes. We recommend having 2 people as the bed is heavy to turn over.
1. Add 4 brackets with included Allen wrench.
2. Screw on legs.
4. Flip the bed right side up and plug in.
5. Unroll mattress and zip into cover.
6. Slide and lock the padded armrests into place.
What size should I order?
- Twin is best for people under 5'11".
- Twin XL is best for people 6' or taller as it is 80 inches long.
Shorter individuals may have a more challenging time getting back into bed. Please check the bed's height to ensure it will work for you.
What happens in a power outage?
You may use the battery back up to be able to bring the bed back to a starting position. Simply add a 9V battery when setting up the bed.
Modifications & Service
Can I use my own mattress?
The EZ Out Bed does come with a standard Twin or Twin XL memory foam mattress. If you would like to use your own, we recommend only using a memory foam mattress or a hybrid mattress with pocketed coils made for adjustable bases. Mattress must be 6" deep.
Can I attach a headboard to my EZ Out Bed?
No. Because the frame of the bed does not extend to the head of the mattress, you will not be able to attach one to the bed.
Can I remove the padded armrests?
Yes! You can easily remove one or both armrests by unscrewing the knob underneath the base of the armrests and sliding them out from the frame.
Can I put the EZ Out Bed inside of a bedframe?
No. The foot of the bed reaches the floor during the lifting position, which does not allow room for a footboard.
Can I use a fitted sheet or mattress protector?
- Yes, you certainly can! We recommend a fitted sheet that is for a mattress 6-8 inches in depth. Sheet straps are recommended to better secure your sheet during all movement of the bed.
- Mattress protectors may be used to fit around the mattress and inside the gray zippered cover or on the outside depending on type and preference.
What is the warranty?
Your bed comes with a 10 Year Limited Warranty:
- Year 1 – In-home service with full coverage of parts and labor.
- Years 2-10 – Full coverage for all mechanical parts (but not shipping or labor).
Please see our full Warranty for more information.
Who do I contact if I need help?
We appreciate any questions or feedback you may have. Once we receive your communication, we will do our best to get back to you within the next business day.

Please see our Shipping Policy for more detailed information.
Are your beds sold in stores for me to see?
No. The EZ Out and Hi-Lo Beds are exclusively available online for direct delivery to your home.
Can I return the bed if I change my mind?
You may return any item if it has yet to be opened for a refund, less all shipping costs. All open items are final sale due to sanitary and hygiene considerations. Please read our Return Policy for complete details.
How does the White Glove Delivery with Assembly work?
This is an excellent option to avoid assembling the bed yourself. The freight carrier will bring your bed to your local area and hand it to a delivery agent team. They will then call you to schedule the in-home appointment. Delivery includes setting up your bed in the room of your choice and clearing all packaging.
Please allow up to 5 business days to process your order and another 15-20 business days for shipping and scheduling in-home appointments.
